About Our Client

The company is a globally recognised brand with an excellent reputation. The Parramatta office holds circa 200 employees primarily in corporate functions in addition to satellite workers and smaller sites across Australia and New Zealand (350 headcount). You will report into the HR Director who is based on site and work alongside 2 others in the HR team.

Job Description

We are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner. This is a newly created Generalist HRBP role but with a 50% focus on Learning & Development, Culture, and Talent Acquisition, offering significant variety and ownership.

Working within a structured and process-driven environment, the successful candidate will be involved in both local and global people initiatives, supporting the business across Australia and New Zealand.

This role is well suited to someone who is people-focused, highly collaborative, and thrives in a non-hierarchical team culture that values professionalism, respect, and quiet excellence over self-promotion.Learning & Development & Culture

  • Contribute to the design and delivery of L&D programs (mix of internal, external, and digital platforms)
  • Draft and implement development plans for high-potential talent (up to 10 identified individuals)
  • Support the coordination of cultural and engagement initiatives, including regional programs and global leadership panels
  • Coordinate global employee engagement survey actions
  • Facilitate and present leadership training sessions and workshops
  • Assist in embedding EVP initiatives and LinkedIn branding exposure



Recruitment

  • Facilitate end-to-end recruitment process across Australia and New Zealand
  • Reduce agency spend by improving internal sourcing capabilities
  • Utilise LinkedIn Recruiter for proactive talent attraction
  • Support rollout and training for a new ATS platform
  • Screen, assess, and select talent with a focus on long-term cultural alignment



General HR Support

  • Work closely with Comp & Bens lead (HRBP) and global stakeholders
  • Support cross-functional HR initiatives with scope to broaden portfolio over time (e.g., into Reward, Recognition, or Organisational Development)
  • Maintain alignment with policies, systems, and agile processes within a global, bureaucratic organisation
  • Employee relations case management

The Successful Applicant

A successful HR Business Partner should have:

  • Intermediate level experience with L&D is essential
  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor or HR Generalist
  • Experience in white collar / corporate environments
